A testing steep up and back hill race from Laurencekirk Primary up Garvock Hill to Johnston Tower and back.
Mainly on track, with some cross country to the Tower.
5.2km, 179m ascent.
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Woman/Men plus trophies for winners.

JOHNSTON (KIDS) RACE 10am

Start at primary school, through the underpass and up small hill to Johnston Mains farm, turn right along track to Johnston Lodge, round the Lodge and back again.
The route has stewards to ensure the children go the right way.
Water is available at Johnston House in hot weather.
3k in length average time is 30 mins.
This is a great, achievable cross country race.
Certificates for all and prizes for boys/girls in each age group 8-10 and 11-13
Younger children are welcome if they run regularly at this distance.
